I did not have to manually set anything in the setup, just clicked one button and it found the signal and configured its self. I have read other reviews for this product and disagree with the negative. This modem works great. I also had on problem hooking it to my wireless router. I would recommend purchasing this modem to those who have little to no experience with setting up internet access.
Does what it suppose to do. Reliable enough when used with ATT DSL service. the box itself gets a bit warm and do not stack it on top of another router or switch.
It is configured to Bridge, and D-link said they "believe" you should still be able to manage the modem. Working with my ISP, I got this up and running in no time. I gave up working with D-link after that. The auto connect didn't work with Surewest. Once I manually set up the modem and rebooted we connected but I couldn't get to the GUI any longer. I haven't checked with the ISP but I'm thinking that in this mode the modem is transparent. None of this is a real problem as it's plugged into the router and everything is communicating just fine.
Called customer service. Automated service with NO help. Hard to find the number on the website.this product will be discontinued and there will be no more help for it.hard to find service-provider that uses this modem.ATT has difficulties with D-Link products.
I give it 4 stars not 5 because it produces some heat that can keep your coffee worm lol, best thing is that it is a D-link, so you know it will work, they take this quality thing seriously that's why they have firmware updates.
